1857
Wilhelm Burck founds "Dachpappen- und Asphaltgeschäft Wilhelm Burck" ("Wilhelm Burck Roofing Felt and Asphalt")

1909
Paul Bauder joins the company as a shareholder.

1911
Railway connections lead Burck to relocate to the rural location of
Stuttgart-Weilimdorf, which remains the head office to this day.

1925
Paul Bauder takes over the entire production operation. Hermann Bauder joins the company.

1964
Bauder becomes the first manufacturer in Germany to start up large-scale production of torch-on membranes, thereby helping this new roofing technique to achieve a breakthrough.

1967
The first polyurethane rigid foam insulation panels are produced under the brand THERMOTEKT.

1972
With its new plant in Bochum, Bauder establishes a presence to the north of the River Main.

1982
Gerhard Bauder, Technical Director, and Paul-Hermann Bauder, Sales Director, take over at the helm. Hermann Bauder takes over as chair of the advisory board.

1985
The company's first overseas sales company is founded in Austria as part of the systematic development of its export activities. Today, Bauder has more than 10 subsidiaries located throughout Europe.

1994
Bauder sets up a new plant in Landsberg/Halle to take advantage of the opportunities presenting themselves in the new Federal States and eastern Europe.

2000
Bauder takes over Roland in Achim to strengthen its position in northern Germany.

2000
With the takeover of Thermoplast in Bernsdorf, Bauder is able to offer a complete range of flexible sheets for waterproofing made from both bitumen and plastic.

2008
Construction of the new plant in Schwepnitz (near Bernsdorf) for the production of FPO membranes is testimony to the success of multi-material sales.
