BauderTHERM

Speed and cost-effectiveness are important factors for today's roofers. These are the very reasons for BauderTHERM becoming today's preferred solution for complex waterproofing challenges. Technical guidelines recommend partial bonding (spots or strips) for the first waterproofing layer. This type of bonding is also ideal for refurbishment projects. However, in practice, spot bonding is extremely tedious and time-consuming, and if not carried out correctly does not always perform as it should. This is why we developed BauderTHERM.

It is the innovative THERM stripes that make the THERM system special. These consist of high-quality self-adhesive elastomer bitumen that is quickly activated, and they have a raised profile in order to increase the contact area. As a result, the bitumen develops its adhesive strength in a matter of seconds.

Smaller area to heat. Quickly activated special bitumen.

The recommended partial bonding of the first waterproofing layer or refurbishment membrane becomes a quick and easy exercise thanks to THERM stripes. This is because the stripes remove any need for spot bonding: BauderTHERM membranes are elastomer bitumen membrane with bitumen stripes on the underside or on both sides. The stripes cover around 60% of the total surface area, ensuring correct bonding. The areas between stripes have a mineral coating that prevents bonding with the layer beneath.

The BauderTHERM DS 1 DUO and DS 2 vapour barrier membranes also offer advantages for installation: firstly, the separating/compensating layer and the vapour barrier are installed in a single operation. Secondly, PIR insulation materials can be installed directly without any additional adhesive. This saves time.
