Bauder PIR Kompaktdach is a flat roof system in which the waterproofing layers and the thermal insulation material are compactly bonded both to one another and to the sublayer.
The advantages to this system are clear to see:
No water underflow The problem with many conventional waterproofing systems is the possibility of water seeping under the waterproofing. Bauder PIR Kompaktdach is covered over its entire surface with poured hot bitumen, and is thus firmly bonded with the substructure. This means that in the event of damage water cannot run underneath the waterproofing.
Maximum reliability Any consequences of mechanical damage remain localised. Bonding the waterproofing directly to the substructure means that if any damage occurs it is prevented from spreading over a wider area. Points of damage can be located with great precision. All layers compactly bonded with one another The vapour barrier, thermal insulation layer and first waterproofing layer are each embedded in hot bitumen, and thus form a compact and homogeneous waterproofing system.
Outstanding insulation Polyurethane is an excellent insulating material, and just a thin layer provides impressive thermal insulation.
Quick and easy to install These insulation panels come in a convenient size, are easy to cut and thus quick to install. They also produce virtually no dust when cut.
Ready-made slope BauderPIR KOMPAKT insulation panels can also be supplied in the form of tapered insulation panels. Standard taper 2%.
Resistant to wind uplift Tested on buildings up to 100 m in height.
Fire protection Tests at the fire protection research facility in Karlsruhe, conducted in accordance with ENV DIN V 1187, testing procedure 3, showed that test roofs made from BauderPIR M and Foamglas T4 (cellular glass insulation) behave equally uncritically when exposed to fire from above, even at increased fire intensity. The insulation material used, BauderPIR, is classed as "combustible", but this has no adverse effect.
Extremely resilient The special composition of BauderPIR KOMPAKT makes it extremely dimensionally stable and resilient. PIR index > 250, compressive strength ≥150 kPa.
Lightweight – convenient size BauderPIR KOMPAKT insulation panels are light and their size (600 x 600 mm) makes them very easy to handle. This also makes a difference in terms of cost.
