What is primer?

Primer serves as a bonding and dust-binding agent on the sublayer (e.g. concrete). The subsequent layers must not be installed until the primer has dried completely. The plastic-coated trapezoidal sheet metal widely used today does not, however, need to be pretreated with primer.
