Metal roofs

A variant for a pitched roof that is demanding both technically and in design terms is to install roof cladding made from metals such as titanium zinc, copper, aluminium, stainless steel or galvanised steel. Bauder can supply a compact, economical above-rafter insulation system for metal roof claddings. This combines thermal insulation, soundproofing, fire protection and a durable composite board bonded on top in a single element. It is also suitable for use with slate roofs, wooden shingles, and bitumen or fibre-cement tiles.

What is a structured separating layer?

Structured separating layers are membranes for metal roofs with integrated drainage layer and synthetic fabric spun-on directly. The integrated drainage layer prevents any build-up of moisture on the underside of the metal and thus provides optimal protection against corrosion. At the same time the metal roofing lies softly cushioned on the supple fabric. In this way annoying drumming noise from rain or hail is considerably reduced.
